The company called as Suzuki launched the model named as Sidekick and believe me, many people seem to be amazed and impressed about its shape, style, design and features. Sidekick actually comes in the SUV category and is 3-doored. At the initial launch sidekick featured with 1.3 liter engine and sooner it was upgraded to 1.6 liter engine. It also features both automatic and manual gear transmission. The manual transmission consisted of 5-speed gearbox and automatic transmission consisted of 3-speed gearbox. The automatic gear transmission was kept as optional by the company. The list of famous Sidekicks consisted of the base JS and it was presented as a soft top convertible with 2WD. The same was also associated with the upscale editions such as JX and JLX.
About two years later after its initial release, the Suzuki uncovered and launched a longer wheelbase than the previous one and had 5-door hardtop Sidekick to further hit the market enormously. Sidekick was mostly sold in the base JX model. The JLX seemed to be very luxurious and was chosen by the people who had the higher budget. Then later on Sidekick was further upgraded to a 95 horsepower that had 16 valve multi-port fuel injection systems, with the same 1.6 liter engine.
In the year 1996 Suzuki had dropped down the Samurai models and launched a new Sidekick model to hit the market. The Sidekick model has truly stunned and astonished every one of its looks, style and features. Then Suzuki even launched the sporty model of Sidekick which impressed the sport craze guys. This model was in a great demand by the sport lovers. The sporty model had larger wheels, a loner outlook, fender fares and bigger posture. The sporty model consisted of a 1.8 liter engine of DOHC inline-4 with a horsepower of 120. Its power was much better than the previous 1.6 liter engine. The Sidekick sport was launched in two models named as JX and JLX.
